Mas des Rouges Gorges

Mas des Rouges-Gorges is a modern country house on the edge of Eygalières, a medieval village at the heart of the Alpilles Natural Regional Park. The Villa draw its inspiration from the traditional limestone architecture of Eygalières. The monolithic building has a façade of large stone blocks which merges seamlessly with a roof laid in stone slabs. The few, symmetrically positioned window openings emphasize its linear character and pure, elegant architecture. But the centre-piece of this 250 square meter house is the double-height living room and complete with broad windows overlooking the garden. The kitchen and one of the bedrooms are positioned at either end of the building’s front. And two additional bedrooms can be found on the upper floor, connected by a corridor with a glass balustrade. Peace and privacy are guaranteed, as the house is surrounded by one hectare of Mediterranean parkland.
