The romantic "Monjasang" found on the iron plate

Focusing on the traditional Japanese dish, Monjayaki, Monjayaki plans a space where you can indirectly experience the deep taste and culture of Japan. Monjayaki is a traditional Japanese dish made of various vegetables and other seafood and stir-fry them on an iron plate in the form of dough, and it is already popular in Japan, but is still unfamiliar to Korea. If you look at Monjayaki's brand mission, it aims to introduce and experience Japanese food called Monjayaki to Koreans. We started the planning with an emphasis on this content, and as if customers were invited to the 'Monjayaki Housewarming' and were treated to their own dishes and heard the introduction, we set a spatial concept story and began directing. When it comes to housewarming, the landlord greets customers with his or her own table of contents and contents. By actively utilizing this part, the space zoning and layout composition continued.

① First greeting: "Welcome! I'm Monjasang. I want to treat you to my beloved home food, Monjasang. Would you like to try it?"
② Introduction to the house: Introduce your house while preparing the food. It contains a Japanese-style design, but it is not excessive, but has a simple and minimal atmosphere that is comfortable and warm. We chatted in the living room and had a delicious meal together.
③ Event: After finishing his meal, he prepares the housewarming party event with a excited smile. He suggested Japan's "Omikuji (picking luck)", and it is said that he recreated it in his own way, not in the existing way.
④ Farewell: "Thank you again for coming to my house. If you just had your fortune pulled out and you got the one you didn't want, you can leave the paper tied to the garden tree on your way out!"

As above, we set the story of the four-stage houses and organized the space zoning by separating areas suitable for each story. The intended movement in the space could be formed by dividing the four roles: [① counter, ② hole and room, ③ content zone, and ④ exit zone].

The overall mood of the space is mainly Japanese-style wood tone, stone, and soil texture, but due to the nature of the first Monjasang store, we set a cleaner finish than materials that have passed through the years because it deals with the story of a young Monjasang. In addition, we were convinced of our choice when we considered the entry of a new mall. For example, Wood developed a film, stone tiles and artificial marble, and a formally minimal and not excessive design.

Continuing the story of space design by zoning, the intro counter area created an image of the entrance from the outside by taking in tiles, and tried to give a clean impression by linking the counter design by using a wedge line. The hall and room compose a dining space by separating the materials on the floor so that they can be reminiscent of the interior of the house. The hall creates the feeling of the living room and creates the sense of depth that was lacking by applying a staco material of texture. The room creates the feeling of a tatami room, and unlike the hall, a luxurious feeling is added by using a darker tone and fabric material. The two areas are spaces of the same role as receiving a meal following the introduction of the house, but they add fun to users by adding different design expressions. The content zone is an area where you can experience the omikuji (counting drawing) system planned by Monjasang. You can experience picking your fortune from the manufactured cabinet and present a special experience by applying locks directly airlifted from Japan. In the exit view zone, gravel and wood are arranged, and if you get an unwanted fortune, you can take it out and leave it on a branch. This is also one of Japanese culture.

In this Monjasang space, we designed it with the hope that a unique experience will be created in every movement from the moment we entered to the moment we left while enjoying the mood we created, and we ended the space with the hope that special memories will be created beyond simple experiences.
