Nomura Research Institute’s Innovative Office Design: Fostering Tranquillity and Interaction

Ultraconfidentiel as Architects

Overview
Gurgaon, Delhi – Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI), Japan’s premier economic research and consulting powerhouse, and a proud member of the Nomura Group, has once again expanded its impressive footprint in India. With the completion of their fourth office phase by Ultraconfidentiel Design, NRI’s commitment to creating tranquil work environments continues unabated.

Way-finding: An experiential journey through the space
This latest expansion encompasses a sprawling 12,000 square feet in Gurgaon, designed in harmony with the office’s preceding three phases. Ultraconfidentiel Design has masterfully crafted an experiential journey through the space, starting from the eye-catching curves that mark the entrance. This physical narrative of curves, highlighted by strategic lighting, guides visitors and employees alike, evoking the serenity of a Japanese Zen garden.

Within the office, a palette of soothing greens with terracotta accents creates a serene yet focused atmosphere, with green acting as a signature mark and unifying element across all phases. The office layout is meticulously planned, positioning workstations along the glazing to maximize natural light, while meeting rooms and cabins draw occupants further into the space. Adjacent to the work area, a cafeteria with a vast glazed wall allows for the free flow of light, enhancing the openness of the design.

Versatile spaces for spontaneous interactions
Ultraconfidentiel Design has not only prioritized aesthetics but also the well-being of the NRI team. The office boasts a variety of spaces designed for spontaneous interactions, from enclosed phone rooms for private conversations to expansive collaboration areas for informal gatherings. The workstation zone breaks away from tradition, introducing high tables and lounge seating to foster a dynamic and engaging work environment.

With each new phase, NRI’s office in Gurgaon sets a benchmark for office design, balancing tranquility with versatility, and proving once more that the environment we work in is as crucial as the work we do.
