Located in a postcard neighborhood of San Francisco this historical house was in need of repair, renovation and modernization. The family wished to add additional space for entertaining and extended family. These primary goals were accomplised by combining an outdoor porch and small foyer creating a large reception hall and excavation under the house for the entertainment area and guest bed and bath rooms.
The balance of the project included repairing damaged structural elements; electrical, lighting, mechanical upgrades and modernization; addition of spectacular bar by removal of a service stair.
MTP Architects provided interior design as well assisting with selection of finishes, lighting fixtures and furniture.
