The façade of the Olympic Hotel in Amsterdam is fitted with Masterworks elements. These edges give the building a solid stone look without the weight of stone: one element of 5 meter in length can easily be lifted by just 2 people!
The hotel is part of the development of the 'Sportas' and will connect the Olympic Area with the sport facilities in the Schinkeleilanden such as the Frans Otten Stadium and Sporthallenzuid.
All façade elements were handmade in custom moulds. Masterworks, the material used, provides a unique combination of low weight, high fire-class and unique look and shape.
After very gently sand-blasting the surface a stone-like finish has been achieved.
