Palm Beach by C’est ici Design

C'est ici Design as Interior Architects

Coastal Elegance and Laidback Luxury Come Together for a Relaxed Home

Palm Beach, a serene home nestled within the Jumeirah Golf Estates, is a recently completed project by Dubai’s homegrown interior design studio, C’est ici Design. This project, a harmonious blend of coastal charm and casual luxury, seeks to combine two unexpected yet complementary styles, and transcends trends. The design is a timeless statement that creates a balance between modern comforts and classic allure.

Envisioned for a vibrant expat English couple and their three children, Palm Beach combines their personal aspirations and the creative vision of C’est ici Design. Driven by the brief to create a sanctuary that effortlessly accommodates their dynamic lifestyle, the design breathes new life into their home and includes a complete overhaul to create a statement entrance foyer, a revamped striking staircase and a relaxing master bedroom with a luxe walk-in closet and bathroom.

The project began by re-imagining the master bedroom layout. This involved significant alterations, from repositioning the entrance to reconfiguring the design of the walk-in closet and bathroom. Navigating structural walls required detailed planning and execution by C’est ici Design and the contracting team to create a seamless flow in the new layout.

Scandinavian Minimalism meets Hamptons Grandeur

At the heart of Palm Beach lies the fusion of two distinctive design philosophies to craft a unique aesthetic – the luxury aesthetics of the Hamptons and the minimalist elegance of Scandinavian style. The design combines grand proportions, hints of bright colors and soft textures along with clean lines, minimalist furniture and natural materials – creating a well-balanced blend of the two styles.

The grand entrance foyer serves as an elegant prelude to the home. The wooden staircase stands out against white micro-cement textured walls. Glass railing inspired by Scandinavian minimalism combined with bespoke, statement furniture pieces by C’est ici Design and the statement pendant light fixture by kdln create a sense of contemporary refinement. The blue artwork by a local artist from UAE becomes the focal point of the space, on a canvas of beige, brown and white – reminiscent of the idea of beach-side living.

In the master bedroom, the theme of laidback luxury continues, with airy neutrals, clean lines and delicate fabrics evoking a sense of calm and tranquility – much needed for a busy couple. Comfortable seating by ferm LIVING and The Bowery Company embody the luxurious holiday air of a holiday home, while a light, neutral color palette of white, beige and tan draws from Scandinavian simplicity.

Coastal Charm Inspiration

Capturing the essence of a Hamptons home, the design integrates elements that are inspired by the surroundings. Warm wood flooring and partition, crisp whites, and soft curves, along with textures of organic materials like linen, evoke the rugged beauty of the beach. Carefully curated materials, such as the stone countertops on the console infuse the space with refined character. The pops of blue in the upholstery by Zara Home against the white micro-topping wall mimic the calming hues of sand and sea.

In the master bedroom, a wooden slated partition separates the walk-in closet from the sleeping area, while herringbone flooring and curved details introduce a subtle yet luxurious touch underfoot. A taupe color palette and wooden cabinets add to the soft, inviting atmosphere. In addition, the ceiling beams in walnut veneer create the experience of a sky lit bathroom.

Palm Beach features a hand-picked collection of pieces from Bespoke C’est Ici Design, Loom Collection, Zara Home, Finnish Design Shop, CB2 and Crate and Barrel that adds to its timeless allure and coastal sensibility. The result is a captivating space for homeowners and design enthusiasts alike, creating a haven of effortless sophistication and relaxed luxury in the heart of Dubai’s most coveted neighborhood.
