Sao Paolo takes inspiration from the dynamic Brazilian city. The focus was transforming all the interior finishes with a careful curation of furnishings and artwork, creating a family-centered space that is both serene and timeless. This was achieved by incorporating natural and organic colors, tones, and textures, such as light tones of natural stone, oak, and linen, and pairing them with darker and richer accents for a dramatic touch.

The Brief

“We want to feel home with an elevated feel”.

The villa had a 360 turn around for the structural part involving extensions, beholding wide doors, and opening of the space. The clients were specific about the overall aesthetic to grounded on all form with an elevated look and feel. While the design was mainly focused on a minimal modern approach, the surroundings and client`s origins played a high role in making it like a home. The project brief was to design a family home with an airy and homey feel, maximizing the experience in every single corner. The project was a full renovation which involved significant interior architecture. The main aim was to open the space to incorporate natural lighting. The perfect recipe for crafting a family-centered villa that is serene and timeless is to go natural and organic in terms of colors, tones and textures. The villa is beautifully crafted to add a luxurious yet homely space between the refined materials and forms by pairing light tones of natural stone, oak, linens against darker and rich accents for a dramatic touch. 

While the villa is in Arabian Ranches, the feeling reflects that it is located Sao Paulo. Its clean, minimal but very impactful. Creating a design story for this villa was one of the defining factors as every corner was treated on its own. Achieving balance, harmony, and flow between all the connected areas was key to our design process. We created an uncluttered yet practical layout for comfortable living that evokes a sense of togetherness. We are thrilled to have crafted a luxurious yet homely space for our clients to enjoy. Our main contribution to this project was mainly the schematic layout which allow us to play with unconventional pieces and creation of the non-existing within the space. The most important part of the design was that we created a feeling to the client of loving every corner and making different experiences in different parts of the villa. When asked from the client, which is your favorite part, they were not able to ask you as they have found every corner to be their home.

Part of the success of our design was the production and creation of unique pieces designed by C’est ici which complemented the key
statement pieces. Travertine and wood, impervious to trends, were used to add elegance to classic ambiences with a touch of modernity. We have always been fascinated with neutral backdrops and have curated earth accessories, greens, and bespoke furnishings for many of our projects. Achieving balance, harmony, and flow between all the connected areas was key to our design process.
