The beginning of PARANG(波浪/wave) 's design began in the living room.
A typical living room is a space where family members spend time together, however
The client wanted public tastes to be reflected rather than places where families spend time together.
There were three programs to reflect taste: an art museum, a sitting tea room, and a restaurant bar.
As a space for the museum, an opaque window was used to block the outside landscape and create illumination. When the closed opaque window of the tea room is opened, the space expands and the tea room is enjoyed in a quiet and calm space.
The last restaurant bar was linked to the kitchen so that the landlord could cook and entertain immediately.
In this way, the space that can change freely according to the customer's taste was named because it is like a wave that changes fluidly according to the wind.
As a feature of the space, the door to the room was hidden so that we could focus on the experience of the fluid program in the living room, and marble with a calm tone of wood and a texture of waves was used as a point for a warm atmosphere
