Recently a lively debate started on high-rise buildings in Szczecin - 400 000 inhabitants city in north-west Poland. Majority of built environment in Szczecin is 4-5 floors high. Higher structures are mainly historical and public buildings with towers (churches, museums, schools). There are some housing blocks from the 70-ties, built in the centre which are higher than average reaching 11 floors. On that background there are only 3 structures from the post war era which are distinctively higher - Sky Garden (72m), PAzim (92m) and Hanza Tower (104m).   
"Should be higher" is an overall urban vision of high-rise buildings development for city center of Szczecin. The images show how the city silhouette might look like in the future on condition that the city adopted a master plan, which demands that high rise buildings would be shaped as tapering towards the top. Resulting slender pyramids (because parts of Szczecin are inspired by ancient Egypt) would match the city's skyline bristling with towers. Existing high-rise buildings with complex shapes or those expanding upwards do not fit the spiky panorama.
