EFFICIENT FAÇADE LEADING TO SAVINGS

Mixed and adaptable construction solution The construction principle is based on a concrete structure (foundations and load-bearing walls) and a lightweight facade. The façade, developed just for this project, acts as insulation, offering an effective technical solution. It is separated from the structure, eliminating thermal bridges, and can change to adapt to future requirements without necessarily changing the building's essential features. It also allows more attention to be paid to the non-structural work.

Passive design The bioclimatic approach used for this project has made it possible to reduce the building's heating needs. To limit maintenance and operating costs, no additional renewable energy has been installed, except the connection to the virtuous geothermal heat network. The design of the building (compact, façade with high thermal efficiency, good use of solar heating) has made it possible to create a building which exceeds the requirements of the effinergie + label, with the following performance: 20% more efficient than the Effinergie + label and 40% more efficient than the RT 2012.

Thin, light and highly-insulating The façade, with an overall thickness of just 30cm, has 20cm of insulation, providing it with excellent thermal and acoustic performance. The fact that it is very light, ten times lighter than a traditional concrete facade, leads to lower structural loads and therefore a lower cost.

Savings at every stage Once the airtight film has been placed on the building structure, the internal and external work can be carried out in parallel, thus reducing the work time needed. Energy consumption is reduced by the efficient façade, compact buildings and housing units facing two directions. This innovative solution, designed to respond to the challenges of sustainable development, ensures increased comfort and lower user outlay while guaranteeing architectural quality.
