Well established company Keramika Soukup decided to move to the centre of Prague with new showroom and come with bright new concept. First sketches of new interior gave also shape to new corporate identity - it both represents the same principles - innovative approach to showcasing products, maximal emphasis on quality and providing unexpected experience just by visiting the place.
The showroom is divided into two floors. Entrance floor is opened to the street with big glass facade and represents a concept of a loft flat - there are areas of living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom. This multifunctional space is for exploring the new concept, meeting with other people and also for occasional workshops.
Main showroom area takes place in the upper floor. It’s connected with the entrance floor by staircase with massive wooden wall with railing. The biggest challenge of the design was to find a way of presenting the products. The upper floor is just 250 m2 and there should be shown as much as possible. Therefore whole new concept was developed - we designed, prototyped and constructed rotary cylinders with products inside. Taking advantage of circular shape we could use much more space and in total 11 cylinders make unexpected vistas which are never the same.
On the terrace around the upper floor is presented large format ceramics - slabs of dimensions 3 x 1 m.
