SPAGNA — Residential Architecture in the Heart of Rome

SPAGNA is a residential transformation in the historic centre of Rome, conceived by architect and author Fausto Ferrara and developed through Arckeo Executive Workshop.

The project reinterprets the domestic interior through a carefully articulated relationship between space, light, material and movement.

Vertical timber screens, transparent partitions and a contemporary staircase define a sequence of interconnected spaces. Rather than treating rooms as isolated environments, the architecture establishes visual continuity while preserving different degrees of intimacy and separation.

Timber, glass and metal become architectural instruments: filtering light, shaping perspectives and defining the transitions between living areas and circulation spaces.

The kitchen and adjoining spaces form part of this continuous architectural composition, where functional requirements are integrated into a coherent spatial structure.

SPAGNA expresses an approach to residential transformation in which the existing apartment becomes the starting point for a new architectural experience.

Architectural concept and authorial direction: Fausto Ferrara.

Architectural development and executive process: Arckeo.
