In front of the European-style architecture, a flower garden path is blooming with the arrival of spring. Inside the house, the air is filled with the season's joy as a large, happy family lives in the four-story building.
Upon opening the main entrance, a pristine and bright double-height space comes into view, starkly contrasting with its previously enclosed and dark interior. The key to the transformation lies in opening up the space: existing partition walls were removed, and new windows were strategically added to allow light to go through the whole building.
The design features soft arches and curved lines, sculpted staircase shapes, and rounded corners, all painted with a smooth and delicate white finish, reminiscent of fine sculptures.
In addition to the renovation, some of the building's original features, such as the classical three-tier ceiling moldings and hexagonal windows, are preserved and enhanced in the design. Under the hexagonal windows, a cozy nook extends into a television cabinet, employing light birch veneer to soften its presence, keeping storage organized and neat. A fireplace and chimney extend up to the ceiling, seamlessly continuing the European-style residence design.
The living room is adorned with cascading pendant lights, their lines resembling artistic brush strokes suspended mid-air, further accentuating the high-ceiling layout. Instead of high-back, angular sofas, the low-back curved sofa configuration, along with several casual chairs and stools, maintains an open and interactive atmosphere within this communal space.
The soft furnishing color palette introduces gentle spring vibes with beige, pink, and orange hues, accentuated by dotted and checkered decorative pieces, adding a touch of modernity.
Following the staircase downstairs leads to an open kitchen, where repositioning the rear door allows ample space to accommodate an L-shaped kitchen and a central island. The design of elongated windows paired with outdoor plant racks creates a comfortable and well-lit environment for the family who loves to cook.
The mezzanine space serves as a gym and game room, with a secret base under the stairs. Glass railings replace the existing half walls, enhancing the transparency between floors.
Warm apricot tones and gentle curves create a peaceful and elegant ambiance in the parents' room, while the master bedroom features a delicate embossed misty gray color and paired with a gray-purple headboard and floral textiles to create a relaxing private space. The second bedroom on the top floor serves as the sisters' room, with casual wicker materials and delicate purple and yellow contrasts, reflecting the brightness of spring.
The children's room resembles a blank canvas, with bold colors of coral, pink, and yellow-purple furniture and textiles. Playful and vibrant furniture shapes contribute to a colorful childhood experience for the little girl.
