We have special experiences with Dalat and Chiang Mai. These are two tourist cities with certain similarities about climate, geographic location as well as people.
On an area of 400m2 in the middle of the foggy land that is becoming increasingly bustling and vibrant, we have divided it into two halves of inside and outside space, with the idea of creating a contrast between these two spaces.
We spare the entire outer space to create a landscaped garden completely separated from the bustling main road outside with high walls made of burnt pine wood. The highlight of this yard is the metal bridge connecting the main entrance, the reception hall and the upper floor of the indoor space, guiding emotions and experiences through different layers of space as well as different perspectives.
The dining space inside the house is softer with the accent of natural wood color evoking an ancient and warm touch.

By placing the open garden in the middle of the 400 sqm plot, sawadeesign has created an urban oasis amidst the bustling atmosphere of the da lat city neighborhood. thevietnamese architecture studio has divided the restaurant into two halves of interior and exterior areas, with the idea of creating a spatial contrast between the two. the entire outside area serves as a landscaped garden, complete with seating areas and an open bar. at the same time, the burnt orange metal bridge forms the centerpiece of this zone, acting as a connecting element that guides visitors through the different layers of the space while offering different visual perspectives of it.
At the top, the bridge takes visitors into the upper floor of the building, where an open terrace with seating and an indoor dining space are located. inside, the restaurant incorporates a much softer character, where the use of natural wood and light hues create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. the contrast between the two zones – interior and exterior – which is enhanced by the material selection, offers a new experience of visitors of the restaurant.
