Top 10 Trending Interior Doors

Interior doors provide privacy between rooms. Users are constantly in physical contact with them. The finishes and detailing of interior doors are an important element of interior design and often complete a space. And so, solutions for door systems - assemblage, settings, weight, materiality - are constantly being tested and improved by manufacturers around the world, to provide a greater range of options for architects and designers. These are ten of our most popular interior door products specified in the past year.

1. ECLISSE Syntesis® Line Battente by ECLISSE srl  
The Italian-manufactured Syntesis® Line Battente by ECLISSE is a frameless hinged door mounted flush with an interior wall, installed without jambs or architraves. The doors can be painted the same color as the wall, cleanly hiding from view for visual coherency. Alternatively, the door panel can be lacquered or decorated to highlight the door as a featured design element. ECLISSE’s trademarked aluminum frame is treated against oxidation and primer-coated to facilitate paint cohesion, produced for both stud and solid walls.

2. Interior doors by  LIKO-S 
The LIKO-S interior door line offers a wide variety of options for wood, aluminum, glass and mixed-material doors in sliding and swing solutions. LIKO-S wood doors come in three leaf thicknesses with various veneer and laminate options. Doors are produced in various heights, with transom light or transom panels available. Glass doors can be supplied with blinds for greater privacy in office or meeting room settings. All doors are manufactured in-house from LIKO-S facilities in the Czech Republic.

3. Fire doors and fire-resistant partitions Janisol 2 by  Jansen
The Janisol 2 fire protection system meets requirements for both safety and design freedom. The material properties of steel make it possible to create very strong and secure designs with slender profiles. The Janisol 2 line includes multifunctional doors and partition walls performance tested in combination with several makes of glass. The doors are produced in uncoated or strip-galvanized steel, suitable for powder coating or stove-enameling, as well as in uncoated or polished stainless steel. The product range includes single and double doors, with or without side panels and transom windows, partition walls with free glass edges and sheet metal clad doors with or without cut-outs for glazing.

4. ECLISSE Syntesis® Line Single by  ECLISSE srl
The Syntesis Line Single by ECLISSE is an interior door product with a frame completely integrated into the wall thanks to special profiles, pre-rendered or plasterable for solid and stud walls. The stop jamb for this door line is embossed PVC-coated. All these details ensure the clean adherence of finishing materials to achieve complete homogeneity. The Syntesis Line Single frame completely disappears from view, allowing the door to visually become part of the wall.

5. Hinged Door by Linvisibile
Linvisibile’s Italian-manufactured hinged door solution is a patented door installed completely flush with the wall, available in pull and push opening models. The product is distinguished by the use of concealed hinges and the absence of door frames or jambs to achieve continuity between wall and door. It can be painted in the same finish as the walls, becoming almost invisible. It can be coated with all types of materials, from metal to stone, leather, glossy- or matt-lacquered wood.

6. Xinnix X2 Frame by Xinnix Door Systems 
Xinnix creates frameless door systems “which allow the integration of every door in every wall”. The Xinnix system consists of aluminum frames, premilled and assembled ready for installation with hidden hinges. Acoustic and fire-rated systems are also available, up to 3m heights. The products support wall cover applications including plastering, brick or tiling, plasterboard, wood veneer and glass.

7. FritsJurgens® Pivot door system by FritsJurgens
FritsJurgens Pivot Doors are elegant frameless doors with built-in hinges. Veritable movable walls of up to a maximum weight of 500 kg, the doors rotate around a vertical axis and can be opened to both the left and the right - a functional, clean solution invisible in the closed position; in an open position the doors can determine the space. The FritsJurgens pivot door hinge is unique in that there are no structural elements in the floor or the ceiling. The hinge is fully integrated into the top and bottom of the door for an invisible system that can be used in both existing and new situations.

The Oden Sliding Door Hardware line by US-manufacturer Krownlab is a sliding barn door hardware system. Such a door type provides both originality and efficiency by eliminating the dead space created by the swing of a traditional door, any by joining two rooms into a single adaptable space. The hardware supports doors weighing up to 550 pounds, allowing designers to explore a broad range of materials, applications and door designs with unlimited continuous track lengths and fully concealed attachment points.

9. Absolute Swing by Ermetika
The Absolute Swing door by Ermetika is a solution for swinging doors designed without edging trims. The door blends integrally into its surrounding plasterboard or plaster walls. The frame is also available in a double-door option, as well as a trapezoidal cut for non-conventional door openings in plaster walls.

Thanks to its greater installation depth and wall thickness, the Jansen Economy 60 system is particularly suitable for large, heavy duty single and double doors and for applications requiring higher levels of security. The door is produced in uncoated steel or strip-galvanized steel, suitable for powder coating or stove-enameling. Available models include single or double door options, doors with or without side panels and transom windows, sheet metal clad doors with or without cut-outs for glazing, anti-finger-trap doors, and pivot doors or folding walls.
