FENIX NTM® - a super opaque nanotech material - is an innovative interior design product, created by Arpa Industriale, that combines elegant aesthetic solutions with state-of-the-art technological performance. It is suitable for both vertical and horizontal use. The external surface of FENIX NTM involves the use of nanotechnology and it is characterized by next generation acrylic resins, hardened and fixed with Electron Beam Curing process opening up new avenues in the field of interior design.
With low light reflectivity, its surface is extremely opaque, anti-fingerprint and features a very pleasant soft touch. Thanks to the use of nanotechnologies, FENIX NTM thermally heals any micro-scratches, as its name indicates.
In addition, FENIX NTM is highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, rubbing and dry heat. It also withstands impacts, acid-based solvents and household reagents. It significantly reduces the bacterial load making its surface hygienic and easy to clean. It is also liquid repellent and mould-proof.
Thanks to its special characteristics, FENIX NTM can be used for both horizontal and vertical surfaces and a very wide range of typical interior design applications, both for home and business markets: kitchens, bathrooms, as a material for worktops, coating shutters, doors and walls, for splashbacks; hospitality, healthcare, as well as furnishings and fittings such as tables, bookcases, chairs, partitioning.
Its surface characteristics make it a high-performance material and, furthermore, it can represent a valid alternative to other materials, such as solid surfaces and glass, with the added advantage of easy workability. Ever since it was launched, FENIX NTM has been a “must” for a large number of companies for their new kitchen and fitting out projects thanks to its innovative and high-tech nature. It is not only a functional material satisfying the large number of day-to-day demands but also provides a new language to reveal its unique identity.
The colour range includes a choice of classic timeless colours inspired by nature, pearlescent shades with a superb effect on supermatt surfaces and an exclusive selection of materic expressions. The stylistic choice for this material with an evocative surface was inspired by nature itself: warm or cool whites from winter landscapes; intense greys of still waters or the pearlesance of thunderous torrents; magnolia and beige that capture the very essence of the terra; the blue and black of star-lit or very dark skies.
The Thin version of FENIX NTM must be placed onto a substrate and is similar to HPL laminate panels in terms of workability, without needing any special equipment. Edges can be applied to the material using two different methods: using 1.2mm thick FENIX NTM with polyurethane glue, or using industrial edging systems, with ABS edges or polymer material, either with traditional methods, new laser systems or hot air systems. The Solid version is workable with a machining centre/pantograph and diamond milling, using similar machining methods as for compact HPL. The Solid version is now available in the following thicknesses: 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm with matching colour core.
FENIX NTM is a timeless material, designed to stimulate the creativity of interior designers and industrial designers | for their never-ending design stories.
