Rationel AURAPLUS is a timber-aluminium window and door system designed for contemporary buildings. The system uses a solid timber frame with external aluminium cladding, combining the warmth and performance of wood internally with a durable, low-maintenance external finish.
Available with double or triple glazing, AURAPLUS is designed to support thermal comfort, daylight, and acoustic performance. Rationel lists U-values down to 0.79 W/m²K for its triple-glazed windows, depending on configuration.
The system supports more sustainable specification through its use of timber, durable aluminium protection, and long service life. The external aluminium cladding helps extend the life expectancy of the windows and reduces the need for external maintenance, while the timber is sourced through DOVISTA’s FSC Chain of Custody certification. Product-specific Environmental Product Declarations are available for AURAPLUS windows and doors, providing third-party-verified environmental data across their life cycle. Rationel windows and doors also conform to the Danish Indoor Climate Label, supporting indoor air quality after installation.
