Verosol's has broken the 80% reflection barrier and reaches 83% reflectance with its SilverScreen fabric.
As of today Verosol SilverScreen 2% has been improved realising a reflectance of 83%. In order to create a sustainable indoor environment, Verosol has been on the forefront of creating highly performance metallised fabrics. The fabrics resulting from its invented vacuum metallisation process are characterized by a highly reflective layer preventing heat gain and glaring issues in buildings, while preserving the outside view. It's fabrics are designed to be applied on the inside of the building. Key to creating such high performance fabrics is maximizing reflection. In this way the light entering the building will be reflected back through the window before its energy is absorbed and transformed into heat. So far researchers at Verosol have not been able to go beyond 78% reflectance, up till now.
"We are thrilled that we managed to pass through the 80% barrier, it feels like running the 100m under 10 seconds" says Bas Ambachtsheer CEO of Verosol. "We set our goal to go beyond this barrier and we managed to improve our highest reflective fabric with 83% reflection." This means our SilverScreen Fabric effectively reduces solar heat gain by 63% in buildings for high performance glazing, while maintaining outside view," says Conny Pasman, Head of Innovation at Verosol.
With managing 83% reflection Verosol can show the world it creates the best performing metallised fabrics world-wide to provide a healthy and comfortable indoor environment, that results in energy saving and better work and living environments. Verosol SilverScreen 2% is available now for customers worldwide.
