Laminated safety glasses
Assembly of two or more panes of glass with one or more interlayers made of PVB (polyvinyl butyral) or EVA (ethyl vinyl acetate). If the glass is accidentally shattered, it adheres to the interlayers).
Benefits:
-Complies with applicable European safety standards.
-The number of glasses and interlayers determines the level of personal and property protection:
-accident (Stratobel Accident – EN 12600) -break-in resistant (Stratobel Break-in - EN 356) -firearm resistant (Stratobel Bullets - EN 1063) -explosion resistant (Stratobel Explosion - EN 13541)
Option to use different base glasses and/or interlayers to achieve the desired function or appearance
The PVB interlayer provides enhanced protection from ultraviolet light.
Assemblies:
The base glasses and the type of interlayer used in the assembly determine the functions provided in addition to safety:
-Enhanced thermal insulation – see Planibel Low-E -Solar control (Stratobel Sun) – see Stopsol, Sunergy, Stopray -Decoration/Design – The desired appearance depends on: -the type of glass – clear (Planibel clear), coloured (Planibel Coloured), matt finish (Matelux), toughenable painted glass (Lacobel T) -the type of PVB: transparent (Stratobel Clear), coloured (Stratobel Color), white (Stratobel White), printed designs (Stratobel Impression) -the incorporation of other materials (Stratobel EVA) -Acoustic insulation - (Stratophone)
Applications: Multiple application – Laminated safety glasses offer a customised solution to any facade or interior design project – monolithic or insulating glass
