Tradition, innovation, and circularity come together in Rafa Ortega’s design, offering a solution that imbues walls and ceilings with nature and character. This is achieved by transforming 100% recycled boards made from residual cellulose fibers, combined with our artisanal plant creativity, 100% natural and maintenance-free, into a coating of organic geometries, sensations, and well-being.
Preserved mosses and plants, carefully selected, grow vibrantly between panels made from an innovative, certified, and highly recyclable upcycled material. These are molded into impossible curves and reliefs, inspired by the vareta wood-working technique used by traditional Fallas artists.
The design features panels of 117 x 77 cm with a total of 16 plant patterns and an option to close shapes without filler. This allows for flowing lines and visually hypnotic, striking compositions, especially in large-format wall coverings. A regenerative dialogue between the past and the present that pushes us toward healthy spaces with the circular materials we need.

VARETA reconnects us to the beauty and delicacy of natural forms, evoking our deepest essence. It conveys a cultural heritage rooted in craftsmanship and ancestral traditions passed down through generations. However, VARETA also links us to the present we need by integrating nature with circular materials.
This is achieved through a high degree of creative experimentation and innovation in its manufacturing process, helping to shift the habitat sector toward regenerative design.
The positive impact of VARETA on both people and the environment is intrinsic to its design and materiality. This is due to the use of Cradle to Cradle Gold certified recycled and recyclable panels from the pioneering start-up HONEXT®, as well as the water savings provided by preserved vegetation, which requires no irrigation for maintenance. This vegetation creates a direct connection with nature, its sensations, and the well-being that comes from experiencing the biophilia effect in both humans and spaces.
This collection is crafted with contemporary artisanal value, not only saving 720 kg of residual cellulose fibers and other industrial waste fibers from landfill or incineration for every 100 m² of HONEXT® panels, but transforming them through a process into an experiential, sustainable, and healthy covering, committed to both people and their surroundings.
