Well Covers

Water as motif has many references – from the inlet near the city to a congealed puddle with the interference of two drops of water. But first and foremost the motif is symbol of the clean water in the subsoil of Vejle – the water that is accessed from the well cover. The pattern submits to the circular conditions of the well covers, but it is not dependent of known centric patterns. The relief on the cover secures necessary non-skid surface, and is designed to keep a little water on the cover after rain. At best you’ll doubt whether you can walk on this water! The cover is developed in three sizes and applies to existing road surface in Vejle city centre.
