The design of four pendant lights / chandeliers for a Christian student association. Rather than searching for shape, chosen was to express some of the identity of the community by these interior objects. Inspired by Ingo Maurer’s Zettel’z series, the lights became four clouds of paper, physically representing the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, each illuminating the life of Jesus in their own way. The community is open to all Christian denominations and finds unity in the fact that all members feel enlightened by the Word, even though their approach might differ. That’s exactly what the four chandeliers are expressing.
