Apartment JSJ

The subject of the intervention: an outdated apartment in the early ‘90s, in Ajuda neighbourhood. The goal: to transform the current space in an updated and functional dwelling, taking advantage of a privileged view of Monsanto and the Tagus river. The kitchen, bathrooms, hall and office spaces were the ones that suffered a more profound intervention. The ideas of organization, clean spaces, functionality, ergonomics, and comfort were always present in the choice of materials and redesign of the spaces. There were significant improvements in terms of acoustic and thermal comfort, with the replacement of all window frames and shading system. The colour white was widely used throughout the apartment and both the natural and artificial lights were treated with special care.
