Conceived as both a functional workplace and a living gallery of design, this interior of the ARTHILL Architecture & Design office reflects the philosophy and aesthetic of the architects and interior designers who inhabit it. Every element within the space: material, object, and volume, have been meticulously curated to embody a harmonious dialogue between form, function, and tactile experience.
The office is structured as a sequence of immersive environments, each articulating a distinct spatial narrative. From the moment of entry, the visitor is enveloped in a carefully orchestrated composition of textures, tones, and proportions. Full-height glass façades on either side of the studio allow natural light to flood the interior throughout the day, accentuating materials and form, while in the evening, the illuminated interior radiates outward, thus transforming the space into a luminous showcase of design.
Another feature of the office/studio is the mock-up living room and kitchen area, domestic vignettes that serve not only as working examples of spatial configuration but also as a dynamic palette of material exploration. Here, clients encounter a full-scale manifestation of the studio’s design ethos, from the considered placement of recessed lighting to the refined tactile quality of hardware finishes. The assemblage includes custom joinery, bespoke lighting, artisanal surfaces, and hardware selections that range from patinated brass handles to precision-milled hinges, each chosen to express a quiet, enduring luxury.
While the production atelier is located off-site, the studio/office features integrated displays of its work: prototypes, material studies, and crafted objects that speak to Arthill’s commitment to craftsmanship and its iterative design process. These elements reveal a dialogue between concept and execution, where material testing and design development are integral to the studio’s daily rhythm.
This office is not merely a place of work. It is an evolving spatial manifesto.
