Bilbury Lane, Bath

William Garvey Ltd as Manufacturers

British Furniture Designers & Makers, William Garvey, were commissioned to design and make furniture for a prestigious address in the historic city of Bath for long term-client and leading architectural practice, Red Button Development.

Market trends are showing clear growth for non-laminate materials such as wood, stone and stainless steel, with a strong demand for more efficient storage solutions. This project is a great example of how natural raw materials can elevate different spaces in the home through tailor-made wooden furniture, as well as improve well-being and overall ergonomics.

It was important for William Garvey to create quality pieces of furniture which were sympathetic to the architecture of this Bathonian home. This project transformed a listed building with breath-taking views of the city in the centre of Bath’s World Heritage Site.

Careful consultation led to the bespoke specification of hardwood timbers such as Oak, Teak, Smoked Eucalyptus and Walnut with William Garvey responsible for project management, surveying, working drawings, CNC, manufacture, polishing, installation, materials and delivery.
