Caprista is a daytime venue that reinterprets the distinctive atmosphere of Capri Island through a contemporary interior language. Centered around breakfast, bakery products, and fresh beverages, the project draws inspiration from the sunlit coasts of the Mediterranean, Italy’s seaside towns, and Capri’s vibrant identity, closely associated with its lemon groves.

Rather than directly reproducing the imagery of Capri, the design transforms the memory of this geography into a spatial experience through color, light, texture, and materiality. Blue tones evoke the freshness of the sea, warm white surfaces reflect the understated elegance of coastal architecture, and rustic textures express the natural, timeless character of Mediterranean life. Lemon yellow accents not only bring visual vitality to the space, but also strengthen Caprista’s fresh, joyful, and inviting identity.

The functional program, shaped around daytime use, becomes one of the key elements defining the atmosphere of the design. The lighting concept, which supports the feeling of natural daylight, works together with bright surfaces and balanced color transitions to create a light, warm, and fluid spatial effect. Bakery counters, breakfast displays, and fresh beverage areas are treated not merely as service points, but as focal elements that establish the rhythm of the space.

Mitte’s approach goes beyond creating a thematic Mediterranean decoration; it focuses on translating Capri’s sensory world into a refined experience for today’s urban guest. With its holistic structure, where product, service, material, and atmosphere complement one another, Caprista transforms an everyday food and beverage venue into an elegant and memorable spatial narrative extending toward the Mediterranean.
