The Casa Lobby project starts from the renovation of an old house with segmented spaces in Curitiba. The family requested the modernization of social environments with diversity of materiality, natural lighting and integration. “I worked 30 years to have the kitchen of my dreams”, it is with this unique way of being that the client refers to the project. After years of living in a house in the Tingui family neighborhood in Curitiba, this family wanted a perfect space to receive visitors.
Kitchen, dining room and gourmet area have been integrated into a layout worthy of a hotel lobby. Therefore, no other name would enter here; it would be House Lobby.
In the quest to bring identity to the integrated environment, Tulli Studio dared to choose materials. Burnt cement and wood were the protagonists for the industrial style required by customers. It can be seen mainly on walls, floors and furniture. Following the language of Tulli's projects, the environments have contrasting colors and materialities, are functional and sophisticated. The design solutions were attractive. The social area gained a pergola with glass fence and metal structure. The entrance door is camouflaged in the wooden panel, bringing linearity and unity to the wall of the room. The white granite island also surrounds the pillar and has a hidden socket tower and a wet gutter to optimize kitchen logistics. On the other side of the island, there was a space for quick meals with four charming wooden stools. For the dining room, which is to the left of the island, a table with a beveled milky white glass top was designed and built, where eight seats are arranged harmoniously.
In a prominent position, the china cabinet with cellar at the bottom was built. Its special charm is due to the side lighting with vertical LEDs arranged in a cascade effect. Next to it, providing contrast, are the wood-toned cabinets above and below the São Gabriel Granite countertop. The expansion of the space gave way to a new wood oven next to the barbecue, which – in turn – received a change of tiles that spoke to the edge of the São Gabriel granite barbecue. The floor was replaced by gray-toned porcelain tiles, reflecting the burnt cement, complementing the materiality of the house, which responds to the consistency of the industrial style. The lighting helped to compose the industrial environment with the black electrified rails and combined with other elements, including the pergola. The result was a project that respected the budget and met the client's expectations, bringing modernity, sophistication and integration to the family's social area.
