This minimal apartment, designed by Gavinho Architecture and Interiors, is meant to portray the cultural symbiosis between the iconic graphics of the haystacks of Costa Nova, Ria de Aveiro, and its modern interpretation, resulting in a luminous space.
Interior architecture plays a massive role in the redesign, using a linear play of walls and open spaces that entirely transform this holiday home into a unique environment. Shared social areas include the living room, kitchen, garden, and swimming pool, seemingly connecting as if in continuous flow.
The notion of borders is lost when one realises that the interior extends to the outside through a glass enclosure designed to enjoy the heated pool 365 days a year.
