Country house

A country house gets a new life with the renovation of the interiors and the expansion of the living space in the extension made of glass and corten steel. The new volume communicates with the natural landscape through the wide windows. From the outside the glass volume reflects the surrounding nature becoming part of it, from the inside, the windows turn invisible giving the impression of being outdoor: the living room becomes one whole space with the countryside.

The new volume talks with the natural landscape through the wide windows. From outside, the glass volume reflects the surrounding nature becoming part of it; from inside, the windows get invisible giving the impression of being outdoor; the living room becomes one whole space with the countryside.

For the wide openings, the planner chose strongly oxidized cor-ten steel, in line with the style of the location. A special attention has been given to the maximization of energy saving and sound proofing, by choosing thermal insulated windows and doors MOGS 65 and high performance glazings, thus guaranteeing as well the necessary housebreaking security.
