Located on the outskirts of downtown Granby, the new dental clinic makes its presence known in an arid context. The size and topography of the site required a compact, two-story design to create a pleasant green interface between the clinic and its immediate surroundings. Playful volumetric shifts allowed the integration of vegetation while generating a simple yet expressive structure. These projections and recesses create sub-spaces that soften thresholds and frame views into the interior of the project. The covered entrance provides a well-defined and welcoming access from the boulevard while offering a more pleasant experience for clients.
Inside, the first floor is dedicated to reception and staff areas, fostering a strong connection between the generous windows and the outdoor spaces. The second floor is designed around a central technical core, surrounded by dental rooms that all benefit from indirect natural light. Special attention was given to circulation, ensuring interesting views toward the sub-spaces created by the exterior volumetry.
The client's vision was to create a welcoming and warm space, far from the typical sterile and cold clinic. Through the use of warm colors and a mix of raw materials, the soft ambiance evokes a sense of comfort and calm from the moment of arrival. The waiting room is even equipped with a fireplace for added coziness.
