Renovation of a fortified door.

​The building is the gateway to the west of the walls of Serra de ' Conti. The complex is divided into a double door distributed in three levels. Consolidation works were needed as the building had several criticalities. On the ground floor we find the living area with a small bathroom, while on the upper mezzanine there is an island kitchen. On the last floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, a bathroom with shower/Turkish bath and a walk-in closet for a total of 95 sqm. It was chosen to show the structure in all its complexity by intervening with few signs for the organization of space. On the third floor in fact we have inserted a parallelepiped in burnished brass that hides the entrances to the double bedroom and to the bathroom.

The furnishings were almost all designed bespoke by favoring metal claddings. The materiality of the surfaces and the attention to the use of light evoke the fascination of tradition while being in a space strongly connoted by a contemporary design. The house is fully air-conditioned and equipped with a home automation system for thermoregulation, anti-intrusion devices, sun screen systems, light control and sound diffusion with a completely disappearing system.
