As Lead Designer for this 135,000sqft headquarters in Moscow we collaborated closely during the briefing process with SOM Architects (creators of JTI’s Global Workplace Standards) and the client to develop the project brief in response to which the activity-based workplace was designed and delivered.
This included smart-working technology plus vibrant and inspiring spaces for staff to work, socialise and collaborate. The design was future-proofed to enable agility to be introduced as staff numbers increased. Clarity of brand expression was a key requirement and the incorporation brand of colours, materials and corporate art programme reflect this.
For JTI’s workforce in Moscow this project represented a significant cultural change and so close user engagement and change management was critical to the successful outcome. Careful attention to detail was required regarding build-ability and day 2 maintenance to ensure longevity from an investment perspective.
The project was winner of the Best Office Award, Moscow, in 2016.
