A variety of products from Formica Group have been included in the design and build of L´Argila Sports Complex, part of a larger municipal sports facility in La Pobla de Vallbona (Valencia). The facility designed by AC Architecture features new VIVIX® exterior façade panels, Formica® Compact and Formica® Bespoke creating a stunning environment for locals to enjoy the vast fitness facilities.
The 4,000sqm modern facility was designed by the AC Architecture studio and led by architect Emilio Conejero y Arquea. Built over three floors the exterior façade is clad with VIVIX panels, the newest addition to the Formica Group portfolio. Building on years of exterior cladding success in European markets, Formica Group remains on the cutting edge of building envelope art and science with the innovative exterior lightweight rainscreen cladding solution that redefines the landscape of contemporary construction for both new builds and renovations.

Formica Compact has been used throughout the interiors including the toilet cubicles, lockers and corridor walls. Formica Compact is a versatile, high performance material. This impressively strong and damage-resistant homogeneous laminate has excellent strength and dimensional stability. With a decorative surface on both sides Compact is also robust and ideal for applications demanding strength, damage resistance, hygiene, long life and minimum maintenance. It has excellent resistance to impact, water, humidity and heat.
Throughout the changing rooms and swimming pools the architect chose to use Formica Bespoke laminate to create a unique look and feel to each area. The Formica Bespoke laminate service allows unique designs, patterns or photographs to be reproduced in High Pressure Laminate using either digital or screen printing techniques.
