As described by Techne, the L’Oreal Training Academy is a flexible and cohesive space that ensures longevity and ease of use. Each training room accommodates the academy’s hands-on training courses as well as more traditional and digital teaching methods.
A material palette comprising concrete flooring, white walls, monochromatic joinery and marble splashbacks bring a paired aesthetic to the training rooms to create an enduring, contemporary finish. Branching off of the training rooms, the main corridor and welcome spaces introduce a warm, embracing atmosphere to encourage socialisation among students. A large custom lighting installation inspired by sculptural hairpins hands above a high timber and marble table as a key feature of the welcome area, creating a meeting point for students. Light timber cladding, marble, brass and rich teal accents adorn the main welcome and circulation spaces, and custom features such as mirrors with marble shelving introduce luxurious focal points.
The project featured the Articolo Fizi Collection, with single and double ball wall sconces, and rod pendants to complete the design.
