PNA-13013

Palomino Arquitectos Estudio as Architects

PNA-13013 is a project born out of the concept of liquid architecture promoted by Palomino Arquitectos. A philosophy that seeks to connect the different architectural structures with the environment in which they are located. With this idea in mind, the studio has created a home that maximises the connection with the island's nature by unifying the different spaces.

This project offers its inhabitants perfect harmony and the opportunity to feel that the house is a point of union between the land and the Mediterranean Sea. Through its wide and long terraces, we feel this projection towards the sea, giving us the sensation of touching it with our fingertips.

Endless games of transparencies dedicated to obtaining the necessary intimacy for each person, without losing that union with the rest of the inhabitants of the house. A way of enjoying each room separately without feeling lonely or isolated.

Its external structure has been designed to minimise the impact of construction on the Mallorcan coastline. Situated on a wooded hillside, Palomino Arquitectos designed a staggered house that blends into the landscape by using noble materials typical of the island's terrain, such as wood and traditional Mallorcan stone.

The stone offers solidity and gives shape to a base that recreates blind planes and serves to house all the different spaces. On the other hand, the wood, thanks to its position in the shape of the house.

The stone provides solidity and gives shape to a base that recreates blind planes and serves to accommodate all the different spaces. On the other hand, the wood, thanks to its lattice-like position, creates the various contrasts of light and shade that ultimately project the aforementioned transparencies, which also give the house lightness.

The high windows enlarge the interior spaces, giving the house a greater dimension and making it more welcoming and directly connected to the sea. A sense of peace, warmth and connection with nature, enhanced by the scent and colour of the wooden beams present in each room.

PNA-13013 is a work of architecture that has been designed with energy efficiency in mind, reducing its impact on the environment to a minimum, both now and in the future. A commitment to a self-sufficient home that uses and reuses each of the elements of nature.

With this project, Palomino Arquitectos once again demonstrates the possibility of creating homes of great architectural beauty with a low environmental impact. A modern home that respects the space that surrounds it.
