This 1940s apartment underwent an extensive renovation to give it a contemporary makeover, without losing the elegance and detail of the original architecture. The palette of materials includes natural stone, stained oak parquetry floors, inlaid carpets with linen and velvet for soft furnishings. Our London-based client wanted to open the rooms to the views and breezes of Sydney Harbour and the bright Australian light, while the selected furnishings and fittings are pure European luxury.

What was the brief?

To update and modernise the existing 1940's apartment for a family of 4, to maintain the period features but improve the overall layout and level of finish.
