DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY
Roseti is focused on the research and the grouping of cells of professional work units, making up a play of volumes which generates three internal patios
interacting with the urban spaces.
Immersed into a disparate context, a section of the city with a diversity of functions, where a few residences converge with office buildings and a cluster of
decadent textile warehouses with internal parks in the blocks stand out, which grant a particular look to the site and allow for reflexion.
The characteristic monomaterial sorrounds the works and contributes certain neutrality which becomes the protagonist.
The light and the internal and external visuals form part of the matter counteracting the weight of the tectonic.
The volumetry consists in a play of concrete pieces that generate the spaces where the structure is transformed not only into a sustainable part but also in an enclosing, while the movement of such pieces alters the volumetry and provokes expansions between volumes, which mix with the internal patios.
The generated dwelling cells, with a flow of circulation and wet volumes, link to each other throughout the interaction with the services which, at the same time, nucleate the internal patios.
The building ends in an open sky space that plays with the logic of the observer.
The interaction between the conformed spaces and the plasticity of the pieces which link them lead to different spatial situations that become apparent during the tour of the place and alter the view of whoever gets into this play…
The feature of the context where the works are located and its disparity, the logic of “filled” block, a certain “no place”, led to reflect and research on the
basis of a system of accumulating pieces, a mass made up of parts, which expect for something to happen over their form, breaking, moving or dissolving their limits so as to give them meaning, and that this alteration provokes a diversity in their conception and gives a hierarchy to their movements, while
strangements and conclusions are generated by this “banal play” together with the spatial poetics and the reflections…
