Set on twenty-six acres in the Rocky Mountains, Sawtooth Ranch occupies an ecotone where river valley and mountainside landscapes meet. Aspen, cottonwood, and willow define the lower reaches of the property, while fir, spruce, and pine rise along the surrounding slopes.

The residence takes its cues from the region’s ranch vernacular, interpreted with a contemporary mountain character. A series of connected building forms is organized around an arrival court, with gabled roofs unifying the composition. Patinated gray metal roofing, recycled barnwood, stone walls, and metal-clad wood windows establish a restrained material palette.

Inside, generous volumes in the primary living and entertaining spaces frame views toward the surrounding mountains while accommodating the owners’ contemporary art collection. A barn with second-story guest quarters formed the first phase of the project, followed by the main residence.
