Located on the raised ground floor of a historic building in central Milan, within the former premises of Paramount Pictures, R2+ has designed the new dental clinic of Dr. Mauro Virzì.

The entrance opens into a spacious, light-filled reception area defined by warm finishes and minimalist furnishings, accommodating both a generous waiting lounge and the reception desk. Conceived as an elegant environment where contemporary design meets timeless sophistication, the interiors welcome patients with natural wood finishes, sand-coloured walls, porcelain stoneware flooring, and glazed doors. The carefully balanced combination of materials, warm lighting, and neutral tones creates an atmosphere of calm, comfort, and reassurance.

Featuring clean geometric lines and refined timber detailing, the reception desk is positioned alongside a feature wall displaying the clinic's logo. Adjacent to the reception, and separated from the waiting area by a glazed partition, is the director's office. Beyond the reception, a full-height sliding glass partition provides access to the clinical area, where a generous central corridor distributes the various treatment spaces, including six operating rooms, a visible sterilization room, a panoramic radiography (OPT) room, a dedicated photography and finishing room, and the doctor's private office.

The treatment rooms are designed around a restrained palette of neutral colours, complemented by taupe PVC flooring and carefully integrated recessed LED lighting that enhances both visual comfort and clinical functionality.

The lower-ground floor, accessed via a striking helical staircase, accommodates all support facilities, including staff changing rooms and restrooms, plant rooms, storage areas, and utility spaces, ensuring the efficient operation of the clinic while keeping service functions discreetly separated from patient areas.
