Ten Square Games is one of Poland's largest mobile game developers, known for Fishing Clash and Hunting Clash. Its Wrocław headquarters in the City One building had grown across two floors, close to 1,700 m² in total. This project was the first in Poland in which the embedded carbon footprint of a newly created office interior was actually calculated.
The design ran from the outset with one measurable target: the lowest possible embedded carbon. Existing materials were recovered and reused wherever they still performed, and emissions were monitored alongside the construction rather than estimated afterwards. In total, 38.8 tonnes of CO₂ emissions were avoided.
The second objective was area. The brief was to serve more of the company's needs in significantly less space than before. Rather than build separate zones for occasional uses, we made zones that change function — rooms that serve more than one purpose, furniture that moves. Flexibility was not a slogan here; it was the mechanism that let the floor area come down.
We ran extensive research into how the company works before drawing anything, and optimised the plan for the specific needs of different groups of employees. The aim was to combine the principles of sustainable construction with a design that matched the culture of a games studio — not a compromise between the two.
