Yongsan High School's “Classroom with Dreams,” or Dream Classroom, is a classroom renovated to reflect the school's characteristics, and was a project that involved students, teachers, and other school members from the design stage. They aimed to create a school space where learning, relaxation, and play are combined with teachers and classmates.
In fact, workshops were held so that students could directly express their thoughts and ideas about the spaces used by Yongsan High School. As a result, we were able to incorporate the necessary spatial elements into the program, including classrooms, rest areas, reading areas, and spaces for solitude.

The 1st and 3rd floors of the Dream Classroom are used for vocational training and general high school classes for students with disabilities. Each space is divided into a domestic education room, a cafe education room, and a digital education room, and the existing small meeting room and life guidance department on the 1st floor, the upper class on the 3rd floor, and the 1st-year classroom have been reborn as the dream classroom.

The digital education room consists of a Practitioner Room, a Stabilization Area, and a book cafe. The book café area is a cozy, quiet space where students can study or read books. In the special education field, students need a separate space to relax and calm down. Therefore, a Stabilization Area with a wall and a sofa was created on one side of the classroom.

The café and domestic education rooms are functionally arranged with kitchen furniture, a coffee machine, and a POS on the island on one side of the classroom to conduct hands-on job experience training. On the other side, a white board and monitor are installed for general classes. A sofa by the window was placed for resting and playing, making it a fun space for students.

In common with the characteristics of special classrooms, the wood and gray colors are used to create a comfortable atmosphere so that students do not feel cluttered. The desks in each room are modular desks that can be combined in various ways depending on the purpose of use, and can accommodate anything from a one-person table to group activities.
