"Thep Nakorn" is a beef noodle restaurant that plays on the word "Thep," meaning "divine" or "delicious deity" in Thai. To further enhance this concept, we have drawn inspiration from the mythical city of gods, "Jatukam Ratcha," featuring four divine cities – Emerald Pavilion, Golden Wall, and Glass Castle. This influence is incorporated into the restaurant's design.
Starting with the floor plan, the space is strategically divided into four corners, symbolizing the four mythical cities. The central area is an open space with a bar at its focal point, resembling the heart of heaven leading to the next level.
This concept draws on the metaphor of heavenly elements:
Emerald Pavilion: Integrating radiant lights and a luminous atmosphere.
Glass Castle: Incorporating frosted glass elements.
Golden Wall: Featuring gold-colored walls reminiscent of fortress-like seating.
The interior space is designed to have a luminous quality, contrasting with divine colors such as green, turquoise, and blue, reminiscent of the heavenly city. The overall effect aims to captivate the observer's gaze.
The forms within the restaurant take inspiration from the arches of heavenly gates and the curved, ethereal shapes of celestial layers, applied to the floor, sofas, and bar.
The objective is to create an atmosphere that immerses patrons in a divine experience, emphasizing the divine and delicious aspect of the dining experience – dining like a deity, savoring like a deity, and being in a space that resonates with the divine. This concept is reflected in the choice of materials, colors, and the overall floor plan and design.
