USNR Headquarters, located in Woodland, WA, sits on a campus consisting of both office and manufacturing space. The renovation of the main office building at the forefront of the campus aimed to achieve an all-new entry vestibule to welcome visitors, an open and collaborative workstation plan to align with the nature of their work, and updated finishes to coincide with their brand and other locations.

The newly constructed entry invites you with floor-to-ceiling storefront windows and a dark canopy that holds the USNR logo. Just beyond the reception desk and wall, clad with locally sourced white fir, “bullpen” style workstations fill the office with a striking stripe of red. Between the workstations, custom work tables were designed for colleagues to pore over plan sets and materials together, and outfitted with shelving to house shared books and objects.

The open-concept breakroom adjacent offers a variety of seating options, and a white fir bar top lining windows overlooking the new outdoor patio. The finish palette consisted of neutrals with consistent pops of USNR red, and dark charcoal flooring that follows you throughout the space in contrast to the crisp white walls. The open ceiling revealed a vaulted roofline and glu-lam headers existing above.
