Indoor climate solutions for modern office environments

In Bioggio, the new building for Viseca Payment Services SA is an office building that consistently combines comfort, energy, efficiency and sustainability. A holistic indoor climate concept has been implemented across approximately 2,750 m² of office space, spread over a basement, ground floor and two upper floors. It caters to the different uses in the building and at the same time enables resource-saving operation.

Sustainable Energy Strategy

The central focus was on a sustainable energy concept. The climate ceiling systems work on the principle of radiant heat and enable moderate system temperatures for heating and cooling. This reduces energy requirements and creates ideal conditions for efficient energy generators.

A11-C climate ceiling system and PARASOL comfort module

Different systems are used depending on the use and performance requirements. The closed A11-C climate ceiling system is used in the individual offices and meeting rooms, supplemented in some cases by PARASOL cooling beams from Swegon to ensure stable and efficient temperature control even at higher loads.

Air conditioning in open-space offices

The open-space offices are equipped with a combination of A11-S climate ceiling sails, the CAURUS hybrid system and ADRIATIC chilled beams from Swegon. In one open-space office, ADRIATIC chilled beams from Swegon were installed invisibly above the cooling sails due to the very high cooling loads. These system solutions ensure balanced room temperature control while offering a high degree of flexibility in terms of space utilization.

Very busy canteen area

METAL LINE heating and cooling baffles are used in the canteen. The system is particularly suitable for areas with changing usage and higher internal loads and offers a robust, durable solution for a consistently pleasant indoor climate.

Climate ceiling with integrated acoustic solution for productive workspaces

The 535 m² call center area was realized with the closed A11-C climate ceiling in combination with ARCHISONIC® acoustic ceiling baffles and the AQUILO hybrid system. ARCHISONIC® acoustic ceiling baffles add architectural accents and increase the acoustic effectiveness of the climate ceiling. This combination promotes concentrated work and a pleasant indoor climate, especially in areas with increased noise levels.

Close cooperation with the planning team and the client's confidence in the systems used were crucial to the success of the project. The very short execution time posed a particular challenge. Precise execution planning was necessary in order to meet the ambitious deadlines, especially when coordinating the various systems.

After a construction period of 15 months, the result is an office building that offers a stable, comfortable indoor climate and is designed for sustainable, energy-efficient operation. The Viseca Payment Services SA project in Bioggio shows how differentiated climate ceiling systems, acoustic quality and sustainability can be combined in a modern office building.
