Volkswagen Financial Services paves the way for adventure, gives employees a sense of belonging, and in stills wellbeing in the innovative design of their Milan offices.
Designing the interiors for the new headquarters of Volkswagen Financial Services, a financial group engaged in the field of insurance services and new mobility, allowed us to create a workspace capable of enabling engagement, connectivity and new efficient ways of working.
The design concept, called “The Sense of Adventure”, unfolds through the interior spaces designed to give sense and direction to the adventure, as well as respond to the needs of company’s and employees’ alike: needs such as communication, well-being, sense of belonging and innovation. The final result is a place conceived as a journey of identity – to explore, share e come away feeling enhanced by the experience.
The support areas, characterized by polygonalshapes of the external walls that imitate rocky slopes to evoke an adventurous environment guide the visitor into an informal and heterogeneous, active and flexiblespace. The work settings are designed to satisfy the most varied functions and needs, from areas reserved for highly concentrated work and telephone calls to more collaborative and open space environments; the meeting rooms, equipped with screens and digital booking systems, have different capacities to comfortably accommodate meetings for two or three people, as well as larger meetings; while the bar becomes a place for fluid and informal interactions.
Natural materials such as wood, material textures and warm colors, as well as contrasts between rigid and linear forms: together, they create a look and feel that is open and informal, interactive and efficientl. A perfect setting to host – and guide – the sense of adventure.
