Wing House Pattaya is the third concrete residence designed by Mario Kleff, marking an important early step in his exploration of monolithic architecture and material purity. Located in Pattaya, Thailand, and completed in 2006, the residence was fully realized by his own construction firm, Wandeegroup (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

The design is a rigorous exercise in Brutalism—exposing structure, material, and texture without ornamentation. The house features a dual-layer concrete shell—an outer and inner skin—that defines both the aesthetic and the performance of the building envelope. Every surface, from the heavy framed glass façades to the solid walls, reflects permanence and strength.

Inside, the material palette is intentionally restrained. The bathrooms are finished with white-grey glass tiles, creating a subtle contrast to the surrounding concrete, while the floors are clad in dark grey granite, reinforcing the home’s sculptural weight. The workspace features wooden flooring, matched by custom wooden doors throughout the residence, adding warmth and craftsmanship to the otherwise stark concrete interior.

Unlike many contemporary houses in Pattaya, Wing House deliberately forgoes a swimming pool. Instead, it incorporates a basement level designed for tools and storage—an uncommon feature in tropical residential architecture that reflects Kleff’s practical and technical mindset.

All systems, including lighting and air-conditioning, were specified to industrial-grade standards, ensuring durability and performance consistent with the home’s robust structural language.

As with all of Mario Kleff’s works, Wing House bears his signature plate displaying the project year and logo—a mark of authorship and commitment to architectural integrity.
