zil. House is a 64sqm apartment .Focused on two main goals: maximizing natural light and spatial functionality to meet the clients’ needs.
Some spaces are simply built — others are born from a story. This project began with a simple vision: to create a apartment that feels like short feeling “a quiet retreat in the heart of the city” “a gallery where every corner tells a tale”.
Every detail was chosen to reflect the personality and lifestyle of its owner. The result is a space that blends [zil style] elegance with a touch of “artistic boldness” or “warm nostalgia”.
Walls and Built-in ElementsThe primary backdrop is smooth white walls, creating a sense of openness and enhancing the play of natural light. The central TV area is framed with natural oak veneer panels featuring a vertical grain and perforated wooden inserts, adding both warmth and rhythm to the space.
Flooring and BaseThe floor is finished with natural wood parquet in a classic herringbone pattern, in a warm honey tone. This material adds coziness and ties all elements of the composition together seamlessly.
Furniture and Soft ElementsArmchairs in black-and-white tweed with a bold houndstooth pattern bring graphic contrast and energy.Pouf in a light textured fabric softens the look and adds balance.Coffee table with a glossy cobalt-blue top and cylindrical base serves as a striking art accent and the focal point of the seating area.
Décor and Lighting
A pendant light with transparent glass discs creates an airy atmosphere and playful reflections.
A floor lamp with a brass stand and white shade adds a minimalist yet elegant touch.
An abstract artwork in bold red and blue reinforces the color rhythm of the interior. The project’s main strength lies in the balance between natural, warm materials and bold contemporary accents. Wood and stone bring warmth and comfort, while vivid colors, high-contrast fabrics, and art objects infuse the space with individuality and freshness.
The design balances minimal geometry with expressive accents, creating a space that feels both calm and daring.
This bedroom demonstrates how design can be both quiet and expressive — a retreat where bold visual rhythm coexists with a sense of rest and intimacy.
The project is defined by a controlled interplay between neutral architectural volumes and expressive interior elements. Clean lines and a warm material palette establish a cohesive spatial foundation, where wood surfaces and soft finishes contribute to a sense of continuity and comfort.
Contrasting this restrained backdrop, selected interventions introduce a graphic and dynamic layer. Color accents, sculptural furniture pieces, and artwork act as visual anchors, activating the space without disrupting its overall balance.
Particular attention is given to material transitions and detailing, ensuring that each element feels intentional and integrated. The composition avoids excess, instead relying on proportion, texture, and contrast to create depth and interest.
The interior ultimately reflects a contemporary approach to living — where clarity of form is complemented by moments of character and visual tension.
