Canadian SolarHiKu solar panels arehigh-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules designed for solar energy generation. The term "HiKu" refers to a specific line of solar panels manufactured by Canadian Solar, utilizing advanced cell technology to produce electricity from sunlight.

The Canadian Solar HiKu series uses a combination of technologies, such as monocrystalline or polycrystalline PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) and half-cut (dual) cells to maximize solar energy capture.

 

Applications
These panels are designed for standard solar PV installations, including residential and commercial rooftops, and ground-mounted systems, to convert sunlight into electricity. Modules in the HiKu series can have power outputs ranging from around 330 W to over 600 W, depending on the specific model (eg, HiKu5, HiKu6, HiKu7).

The dual-cell design reduces internal current and hot spot temperatures, which minimizes the risk of micro-cracks and improves the panel's long-term performance and durability. The innovative symmetrical module design allows the panel to produce electricity even when partially shaded, a common issue in some installations.


According to datasheets from Canadian Solar, the panels are built with robust aluminum alloy frames and can withstand heavy snow loads up to 5400 Pa and wind loads up to 3600 Pa, making them suitable for various weather condition
