L’Antic Colonial, a subsidiary of Porcelanosa Group, presents PARADISE, a natural stone mosaic unique for its aged finish and composed of smooth irregular-shaped pebbles.
Material composition
PARADISE mosaic is crafted from natural stone, meticulously selected for its quality and durability. The irregular-shaped pebbles are sourced from reputable quarries, ensuring consistency in texture and color variation. Each pebble undergoes a process to achieve a smooth surface while retaining its natural characteristics, contributing to the unique aesthetic appeal of the mosaic.
The distinctive feature of PARADISE mosaic is its aged finish, which imparts a weathered appearance reminiscent of stones aged by time and nature. This finish is achieved through a combination of techniques, including tumbling and hand-finishing, to create a worn and textured surface. The result is a mosaic that exudes rustic charm and character, enhancing the ambiance of any space.
Dimensions and specifications
PARADISE mosaic is available in various dimensions to suit different design requirements. The pebbles typically range in size from 1 inch to 3 inches, with irregular shapes adding visual interest to the mosaic layout. The thickness of the mosaic is standardized to ensure easy installation and compatibility with common substrates.

Applications
PARADISE mosaic is suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior applications, offering versatility in design possibilities. Common applications include:
-Feature walls: PARADISE mosaic creates striking feature walls in residential and commercial settings, adding visual depth and texture to the space.
-Backsplashes: The mosaic can be used to create eye-catching backsplashes in kitchens and bathrooms, providing a focal point and enhancing the overall design aesthetic.
-Flooring: PARADISE mosaic is ideal for flooring applications in areas with low to moderate foot traffic, such as entryways, bathrooms, and outdoor patios.

Installation and maintenance
Installation of PARADISE mosaic follows standard practices for natural stone mosaics. Proper substrate preparation and adhesive selection are crucial for ensuring a secure and long-lasting installation. Grouting is recommended to fill the gaps between the pebbles and enhance the overall appearance of the mosaic.
Maintenance of PARADISE mosaic is relatively straightforward, requiring regular cleaning with a mild detergent and water. Sealing the mosaic periodically helps to protect the surface from stains and moisture damage, prolonging its lifespan and maintaining its aesthetic appeal.

Protected tiles
L’Antic Colonial protects all of its stone with BIOPROT, which is a waterproofing and oil repellant product that improves the stain-resistant properties of natural stone. The Bioprot process also significantly reduces bacteria growth on the surface of the natural stone. It is a liquid treatment which, once applied, helps to reduce deposits of microorganisms on the surface of materials and prevents the appearance of bad smells. It is a non-toxic liquid that creates a barrier, preventing the spread of bacteria on surfaces.
This effect is achieved because of its silver iondoped nanoclay composition. The silver particles anchored to the nanoclays are spread across the surface of the protected material, in a controlled manner. This mechanism ensures an even and long-lasting antimicrobial effect. This protection is not strictly a seal, as it does not create a film. The protection binds with the substrate, and it does not form a film or block the pores.

If Alboraya, Valencia, is known for anything, it is for being the land of horchata and yellow nutsedge. In this “House in the garden” home, created by the Ramon Esteve studio there are urban boundaries, allowing an impressive terrace-viewpoint to be enjoyed, with extensive views of the yellow nutsedge groves.
Porcelanosa Group’s materials have been used in the construction. L’Antic Colonial natural stone has been used in the attached areas to the outdoor pools , The Krion® solid surface (RAL 1013 color) has been the choice for the kitchen and barbecue benches whereas in the bathrooms, all the benches have been made from blocks of Calgary natural stone, carved in the blocks themselves.
