Plathéa is a line of large-scale window and door systems designed and manufactured by Capoferri. Conceived for spacious environments requiring natural light and visual continuity with the exterior, these extra-slim systems combine minimal aesthetics with outstanding performance in terms of thermal insulation, air and water tightness, and wind resistance. While primarily developed as lift-and-slide systems, Plathéa also includes fixed, hinged, and pivoting solutions, offering maximum design flexibility across a wide range of architectural applications.
The minimal aesthetic, defined by extremely slender profiles in the lift-and-slide systems, is expressed through central mullions with widths that can be reduced to approximately 25–40 mm depending on configuration, ensuring both visual lightness and high technical performance.
Plathéa is based on advanced lift-and-slide technology developed by Capoferri, allowing the sash to be raised from the threshold during opening to release the compressed gaskets and ensure smooth, frictionless movement. The lifting system is always motorized, while sliding can be either manual or motorized, depending on size and weight.
The system is designed to accommodate large and heavy glazing units, including triple glazing, ensuring structural performance without compromising the minimal aesthetic.
Flush threshold solutions can be integrated to enhance continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring both accessibility and visual coherence.
The system features a mechanical thermal break and silicone gaskets with special joints to guarantee excellent sealing performance against air, water, and wind. The lifting hardware, made of stainless steel, is integrated into a recessed floor housing, preserving the clean appearance of the system.
Available in stainless steel, bronze, brass, and iron, Plathéa adapts to a wide range of architectural and design requirements. The use of high-performance materials and precision engineering ensures durability and reliability even in large and heavy glazed configurations.
The value of these systems lies in their fully in-house production process. Every phase, from design to manufacturing and installation, is carried out within Capoferri facilities, including hardware production, profile fabrication, gasket molding, and glass assembly.
Each unit is supplied with certification indicating thermal transmittance, wind resistance (up to very high pressure levels), and admissible deformation under wind load, proportionate to the size of the opening. All performances achieved exceed the maximum levels required by current standards.
